Siao, DSWD, DOH to launch interagency program orientation
ILIGAN CITY (Nov. 21) – The office of Congressman Frederick W. Siao, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Department of Health (DOH), will launch an information and education campaign at the Builders for the Future (BFF) Training Center and Gymnasium on Nov. 22.
The campaign seeks to inform the public on the programs offered by the said agencies that are beneficial to three sectors: senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and women.
DOH Development Management Officer Dr. Jovette Guinal, MCHM is scheduled to present DOH’s programs and services in the morning while DSWD Iligan Field Officer Raiz Ampaso is scheduled to present DSWD’s programs and services in the afternoon.
“We aim to spread awareness of DOH’s and DSWD’s programs so that they can reach more people in Iligan City. These agencies have programs that can offer significant assistance to people who need help,” said Siao.
“I hope that giving the people enough information through the campaign would be the first step towards making their lives better. We hope to partner up with more government agencies and cover more sectors in the future,” he added.
