House Bill 477 “AN ACT DECLARING JANUARY 23 OF EVERY YEAR A SPECIAL WORKING HOLIDAY IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY TO COMMEMORATE THE DECLARATION OF THE FIRST PHILIPPINE REPUBLIC is now approved in the third and final reading at the House of Representatives.
This House Bill is co-authored by Congressman Frederick Siao because he believes that it is important for the Filipino’s to remember January 23 of every year as the “First Philippine Republic Day”.
January 23 will be a “special working holiday” so that the entire country can remember or commemorate the declaration of the First Philippines Republic last January 23 1899 at Barasoain Church Malolos, Bulacan.
This House Bill is authored by Bulacan first district Representative Jose Antonio Sy-Alvarado
“Isip First Republic in Asia, ang atong nasud mapasigarbuhon sa atong lig-on nga demokrasya ug mga republican ideals isip usa ka nasud,” Congressman Frederick Siao said
“Ang significance sa January 23, 1899 isip First Philippine Republic nahimugso isip usa ka sovereign choice of the people. BUSA nagtoo kita nga mahinungdanon alang kanato nga handumon o i-commemorate ang January 23 matag tuig,” Congressman Frederick Siao added.
