1st Cong FWS Football Tournament a success

Iligan City Lone District Representative Freddie W. Siao congratulated winners of the 1st Cong. Frederick W. Siao Football Tournament held September 17-18 at the Ludo Football Field, Bayug, Barangay Hinaplanon, this city.

Siao also commended the Iligan Ludo Football Republic for successfully organizing the tournament as part of the Diyandi Festival sa Iligan 2016.

He said, the huge number of team participants who joined the competition only showed that there are many young sports enthusiasts like to be engaged in football game and he is willing to support them. “Ipadayon nato ang sports development sa Iligan,” Siao added.

Football teams of Central Mindanao University in Bukidnon bagged the three championship medals of the the 10U, 12U and 17U categories.

Another football teams from CMU were also declared second and third placers for the 10U while two others declared second for the 12U and 17U categories.

Ritchie Nuenay of the Iligan Ludo Football Republic said the event, was successful seeing hundred football teams who came to Iligan City and joined the tournament.

“Diri atong makit-an nga daghang interesado sa football game. Wala man gud ni nag-require og maayo nga height. Basta kabalo ug maayo lang ka modula, you are in. We are planning to host another tournament next month,” Nuenay said.*
